5.4. SoftGrid Sequencing

Sequencing is the act of taking an existing application and capturing its setup behavior into, basically, a single file. This single file will basically contain everything the application contains, and it's called a sequence. Once the application is sequenced, it can be deployed to any SoftGrid Client.

To sequence an application we need to have a SoftGrid "Sequencing Station." This will be our secret laboratory where we put the head of a chicken on a bat. Not really, but we will be pulling apart various applications here.

After that, we'll sequence our first application—nothing fancy—but we'll get the hang of the process.

Finally, we'll make sure we've got the application, I mean, sequence put on the server and streaming ...
