About Ephren W. Taylor II

Born July 17, 1982, Ephren Taylor is one of the youngest CEOs of any public company. He is also the youngest African American CEO of any public company, ever. And yet, his business experience already spans over a decade of successful ventures. He has started and successfully raised millions in investment capital for several successful companies, partnering with corporate giants including Citigroup, Sprint, Target, and Wal-Mart to create workable programs with impressive results. He has become known as a real estate "Market Maker," a "Wealth Engineer," and in economic development circles a high-performance visionary with the ability to make things happen, when nobody else can.

Business Visionary and Innovator

He started his first successful company, Flame Software, developing 3D video games at age 12. At 16, Ephren won Microsoft's Teen TechFest Challenge, and using $1,000 savings he started a job search engine for teens. A scholarship from the Kauffman Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership built his business skills. He personally raised over $250,000 in angel financing and the company grew into highly successful GoFerretGo.com, ranked by YoungBiz magazine as number 4 of the "100 Top Companies Run by Teens" nationwide with a value of $3.4 million dollars.
