When you first launch Excel 2004 for Mac OS, it may display a worksheet window in Page Layout view. You can switch to Normal view shown here by clicking the Normal View icon at the bottom-left corner of the window. I tell you more about views on page 7.
If the formula bar does not appear, choose Formula Bar from the View menu to display it.
