Wind and Blizzards

 

The use of a wind machine is sufficiently obvious to require no explanation here, but there are some other methods and techniques that may not be generally known.

Snow blizzard

For a studio scene in which there is a snow blizzard sequence, it is usual to set up a number of wind machines to operate in different directions. If the front one blows from right to left, the rear one should blow from left to right. This gives a richer texture than if they were blowing in the same direction.
