The Workspace

You were introduced to the Designer workspace in Chapter 1, “The Basics.” This chapter covers the different components of the workspace in more detail. Open the Contact Information form that you completed in Chapter 1. If you don’t have a copy of this form, return to “Method 2: Creating a Form Based on a Template” in Chapter 1 and create a new Contact Information form based on the existing Designer template. You will use this form to illustrate different components of the Designer workspace.

The Layout Editor

The Layout Editor contains four main views: Design View, Master Pages, XML Source, and Preview PDF (Figure 3.1).
