CHAPTER 10CREATING AN EDITOR

In this chapter, we will create an editor for the game that we made in Chapter 3 called Moon Traveller. Even though Moon Traveller was a very small game, there was a lot involved in setting up the data to run the game. We set up things like text in a particular topic number, topic links, and topic link text.

For such a small game, this was a lot of work. In addition, if you want to change a small bit of data, it can be difficult to identify the particular action that needs to be changed because there is only so much space in the tool tip pop-ups.

However, we can create an editor that permits us to enter this data using an easy-to-understand interface that allows us to quickly view and change it.
