In this chapter, we will take what we have learned from the previous chapters and create a simple text/graphic adventure game that is set in the Wild West. It will contain both text and images to give the player a real sense of being in a small Western town.
The game has 18 locations, and we have also added an extra feature that was common in many early adventure games—a movement timer. This will allow you to end the game if the player has exceeded a set number of turns or moves.
In this game, you play the part of a treasure hunter who is looking for the lost town of Tombwood. After years of searching, you finally believe that you have found it, so you set out across the desert in your vehicle.
