CHAPTER 5DUNGEON OF TEXT

In this chapter, we will create a very simple text adventure called Dungeon of Text, but rather than enter text to move around the game world, we will be using some buttons with directions, such as north, east, south and west, to simplify the game. The goal of this chapter is to introduce you to the Text Adventure Map object. This object is extremely important for setting up and moving around your game worlds.

Once you have learned the basics of the Text Adventure Map object, we will then use what we have learned in this chapter as the basis for a more complex text adventure in Chapters 6 and 7.
