3. My unique gifts, talents and key capabilities
When I work with individuals and groups I am often asked why I decided to specialise in leadership and other aspects of personal development. When replying, I say that for many years I have been fascinated by the fact that each of us is unique. We have unique finger prints, eyes, ear lobes and DNA. The way we filter all the information we receive differs from one person to another. As Stephen Covey, author of The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People, says: ‘We see the world not as it is, but as we are – or, as we have been conditioned to see it.’
More importantly, each one of us has a unique story to tell based on the knowledge and experience we have acquired.
