Whether you buy or build a Media Center PC, you’re still faced with the same challenge: how best to connect it to your living home entertainment system. Although different models have different back-panel connections, there remain a plethora of connection choices available to you. For instance, which of the video outputs should you use—HDMI (high-definition multimedia interface), DVI (digital visual interface), component video, S-Video, or composite video? And the same for audio—optical digital, coaxial digital, or plain old analog right and left RCA jacks?
