4Setting up WordPress

You’ve Planned out the Website You’re Going to Build; Now it’s Time Start Creating it. The First Thing You Need to do is to Set up Wordpress.

The one-click INSTALL

These instructions refer to the setup of the self-hosted version of WordPress; if you’re planning on using WordPress.com, please see over the page.

If you’ve followed the advice given previously and chosen one of the suggested hosting companies, or an alternative hosting company with a one-click

  1. Log into Dreamhost. Go to Goodies > One-Click Installs on the left-hand menu.
  2. Scroll down the page a little and click on “WordPress.”
  3. Click the blue box labeled “Custom Installation.”
  4. Select your domain and click “Install it for me now!”
