What are pancakes without the syrup? Mashed potatoes without the gravy? Macaroni without the cheese? They're all familiar, family favorite meals that are taken to another level of culinary enjoyment once the accompaniments, seasoning, spices, and the like are added. Audiovisual (A/V) and visual aids are the accompaniments and seasonings for trainings and presentations. The key, as in food preparation, is to provide just enough of the accompaniments and seasoning to create the perfect taste. You wouldn't want the extras to negate the taste of the meal, and neither would you want an abundance of AV and visual aids to smother the workshop content.
