As of the time of writing, BlackBerry is working on bring the PlayBook to market—PlayBook being a competitor to the iPad. This does not work on the regular BlackBerry OS (currently version 6) but rather uses an embedded operating system called QNX. QNX was bought by RIM prior to the PlayBook.
