PEs and PEGs of FTSE100 Companies

The following table lists the historic PE, forecast PE and forecast PEG for the 100 companies in the FTSE 100 Index. The companies have been ranked by PE. Note that these figures will obviously change over time (in fact they will change every time the share price moves) and so are included here only for illustrative purposes.

A few observations on the table:

  1. Generally, companies at the top of the table are those where profits are expected to grow quickly (i.e. investors have bid up the share price resulting in a high PE). So, for example, technology and exploration companies can often be found near the top of the table with high PEs.
