• An existing hat (an old hat with a brim)
• Hat block
• Foam strip
• Poly stuffing
• Fabric (matching the costume)
• Sewing machine
• Hy-Mark thread
• Chalk
• Needle and thread
• Scissors
• Decorative pearls
• Plastic needlepoint canvas
