Introduction

While feature films and television broadcasting have clear job descriptions for such roles as unit production managers, production coordinators, line producers, assistant directors, and script coordinators, in corporate production many of these jobs are frequently rolled into one. In some cases, especially with lower-budget productions, the video producer (or his or her assistant) is tasked with all of these duties. No matter what the production budget, video managers and even freelancers should consider the value of contracting with production coordinators, even if it is for only a short period of time.
