AS YOU LOOK at the value of an enterprise designed to make money, it may seem odd that its full value is not necessarily expressed by its bottom line, assets, or cash flow. Companies generate not just economic wealth; they generate social, technological, environmental, and other noneconomic impacts as well. In fact, wealth is not even the foundation of a value of a company; rather the value of a company lies in how its products and services add value to human existence, thereby creating wealth.
