Dialogue and Narration

With a good grasp of basic script formats and the com- mon terminology they incorporate, two other major script elements must be considered: dialogue and narra- tion. Just as a writer’s visualization is critical to the pic- ture part of his or her presentation, dialogue and narration are the critical sound part.

Critical, by the way, is not an overstatement. If the visuals in a script are brilliantly thought out but the dialogue or narration is weak, the script will not work.
