Summary

This chapter was devoted to the topic of funding the idea and the corporate entrepreneurial venture. An overview of the venture capital industry was presented, putting into perspective the venture capital unit of a nonfinancial company wanting to be active in corporate entrepreneurship. This venture capital unit is often charged with funding any ideas or ventures outside the company as well as funding internally generated ideas and any corporate entrepreneurial process established.
