Forms of Control

Control of corporate entrepreneurship can serve a number of functions and take a number of forms:

• Control systems can focus on the measurement of inputs (e.g., recruitment and selection), behavior (e.g., performance appraisals), or the outputs (e.g., measuring performance).

• Controls can measure general results or specific actions.

• Controls can evaluate the overall performance of the organization as a whole or with specific parts of it or day-to-day operational activities.
