Formatting Text

When you add text, CorelDraw uses a default font (AvantGarde), font size (24 points), justification (none), and character and line spacing (100 percent of character size). You can change any of these attributes by choosing new settings from the property bar or by opening the Format Text dialog box.

Character Formatting

Character formatting refers to any formatting that can be applied on a character-by-character basis, such as font, style, and size.

To apply a new font to a text object:
1.
Select the text object with the Pick Tool.
2.
Do one of the following:
  • Choose a font from the Font List on the property bar (Figure 11.7).
