Chapter 5. After Applying for Registration

In the last several chapters, I walk through the basics of copyright registration using both the Copyright Office’s online system and paper forms. Once your application is out the door, you’ll receive a registration certificate, a rejection, or perhaps a follow-up inquiry from the Copyright Office. This chapter explains how to deal with post-application questions and refusals to register. I also offer some suggestions for keeping well-organized records of your copyrights.
