What's Different about This Communications Channel

Facebook is the largest social network of them all. According to the Pew Research Center survey The Demographics of Social Media Users—2012, a whopping 67 percent of Internet users are on Facebook. In comparison, only 16 percent of Internet users are on Twitter and 15 percent on Pinterest (Duggan and Brenner, 2013).

While most social networks are most appealing to those Internet users aged eighteen to twenty-nine, Facebook has a big number of users over the age of fifty.
