ACQUIRING THE INNER STANCE necessary for consulting mastery is not like putting on a hat. Most consultants develop their craft by attaining vast amounts of knowledge, altogether missing the more elusive qualities that define consulting mastery. Most of us have spent many years as consultants acquiring the skills, techniques, and craft-specific knowledge to enable our clients to become more effective.
