1 The frequency rate shown is that of a large construction company and should not be generalized for the whole construction industry. There are many accidents that go unreported and employers still go scot-free by paying minimal compensation to workers. The employers in general are, thus, really not worried and do not consider it worthy to invest in safety, though the situation is bound to improve due to increasing awareness.
