The Outer Circle of Stakeholders

All the stakeholders of a business matter, but some are more critical to the success of the organization than others. How a company prioritizes its stakeholders varies depending upon the type of business. Major stakeholders for one business might be minor stakeholders for another. However, the primary identifying characteristic of the most important stakeholders, those we call major or inner-circle stakeholders, is that they engage in voluntary exchange with the organization for mutual benefit.
