In early 2010, Kaiser Permanente completed the implementation of KP HealthConnect, the largest nongovernmental electronic health record (EHR) in the world. This book is about how it changed our organization and the health care we provide our members. We hope that it will inform leaders and stakeholders who are committed to improving health care and health for patients and families, who deserve safer, more effective health care in more convenient, customized ways.
