The information in this chapter focused on getting IM up and running quickly. To write this chapter, we relied on the foundation built in many of the preceding chapters. Concepts such as order type, settlement structure, settlement profile, and user status are as relevant here as they are in Internal Order Accounting. The fact that the majority of IM development here is tied to orders rather than WBS elements is more an issue of scope than of functionality. IM integrates just as well with Project Systems and Asset Accounting as it does with order accounting.
