Profit Center Accounting development is straightforward in a traditional configuration sense. There is not an infinite number of settings that can be tested to see which ones fit your scenario. Instead, there is a heavy reliance on making the proper object assignments and building an accurate standard hierarchy. Spend some time researching the reporting needs of your client prior to beginning the configuration. The changes become more cumbersome once you begin to have real postings in your environment. And finally, communication with all related modules is critical to success. So, be sure to include the persons from the MM, PP, and SD teams during the design and development phases.
