In this chapter, you learned the concepts and configuration behind the Profitability Analysis (CO-PA) submodule. We discussed the purposes of CO-PA and the various types of CO-PA that can be used: account based and costing based. About 90% of companies that are using CO-PA use the costing-based CO-PA. It’s not that account based is not important—it’s just that account based has a very specific use: validating the reconciliation of CO-PA to FI.
