The concepts presented in Internal Order Accounting are relatively new and may take some time to incorporate into your current CO environment, but you’ll find the process well worth the time and effort. Topics such as settlement structures, settlement cost elements, and order types have not been used in many packaged systems prior to SAP. Because of the depth of many of these topics, we could show only a few examples in this chapter. As with all the chapters, though, we’ve provided enough detail to lead you to your own conclusions. If you had to pick one area on which to focus the majority of your attention, spend your time with the concepts of settlement.
