Besides the configuration of Cost Element Accounting, Cost Center Accounting is the most used component of CO when it comes to tracking costs. Configuring the Cost Center Accounting (CCA) module is a combination of table settings and master data development. The key to properly marrying the two is a good understanding of the organization’s reporting requirements. How are operating costs supposed to flow through the organization? Does the company collect costs centrally and allocate at the end of the month, or should costs flow directly to the responsibility center? How detailed of an analysis process is there?
