Chapter 25. Monitoring and Tuning DB2 for Solaris
In this chapter we consider tuning recommendations for DB2 Universal Database for Solaris in both DSS and OLTP environments, and we examine the pros and cons of splitting data across multiple logical database partitions (LDPs). First, though, we look at methods of monitoring DB2 and outline the way DB2 UDB tunable parameters can be modified.
