Sybase ASE Monitoring
Sybase provides two tools for monitoring Adaptive Server Enterprise (ASE) performance. The first is Sybase Central, a graphical management tool introduced with ASE 11.5, and the second is a stored procedure called sp_sysmon, bundled with the Sybase distribution.
Sybase Central includes a client plug-in performance monitor tool, providing a graphical presentation of data. It is a powerful tool for identifying causes of bottlenecks in ASE, but its usefulness is restricted in that it runs only on Windows clients (although it can monitor ASE running on non-Windows servers).
