Chapter 10. Sybase Architecture
Sybase Adaptive Server Enterprise (ASE) is widely used on Sun systems, especially in OLTP environments. In this chapter we discuss the process model, memory management, and data storage characteristics of ASE. We also examine the system databases and the parallel query capabilities of Sybase ASE 11.5 onwards. Finally, we explore the architecture of Sybase Adaptive Server IQ with Multiplex.
