Investigation Conclusions

As the investigation draws to a close, it is important that an investigative file be created to preserve all documents relating to the process. This establishes a record for future reference that can be used if further action is taken on the part of the complainant or even the accused (such as the complaint proceeding to a higher authority or outside the company). This documentation also spells out the actions taken by the company to address the allegations or issues, which will aid in the company’s defense, should such legal action be taken. These records will also be important if in the future similar problems arise.
