Chapter 13. Resource Records
A lot of Resource Records are documented in RFCs. Finding a definition and user guidelines can be quite a job. DNS was first defined in RFC 882 and RFC 883, which were later updated by RFC 973. These again were later obsoleted by RFC 1034 and RFC 1035 and further expanded in several other RFCs. Please see Appendix B, "Bibliography," for further details about these documents. DNS is a living specification and a very nice database. Changes will occur, though, because people will want to adapt DNS to their own uses. Some of the records listed in this chapter illustrate this.
