6. Using Windows 10 on a Touchscreen Device

As you learned in Chapter 5, “Getting to Know Windows 10—If You’ve Used Windows Before,” the previous version of Windows, Windows 8, was designed for computers and tablets with touchscreen displays. Most users, however, don’t have touchscreen computers, which is why Windows 8 was such a flop.

However, if you do have a computer with a touchscreen display, or if you use a tablet or hybrid PC, you can use Windows 10’s touchscreen mode. This version of Windows 10 hides the traditional desktop and instead displays the Start menu and all apps full-screen.
