27. Playing Music

Your personal computer is a full-featured digital music machine. You can use your PC to play music from CDs, create your own digital music library, and download music from the Web. You can even stream music in real time over the Internet, at little or no cost.

There are actually several different ways to do all this, depending on which apps you choose to use. We’ll examine two of the most popular full-featured music applications—Windows 8.1’s Xbox Music app and Apple’s iTunes program.
