3 Essentials of OpenMP

Abstract: OpenMP is a shared-memory Application Programming Interface (API). It represents a collection of compiler directives, library routines, and environment variables for shared-memory parallelism in C, C++, and Fortran programs. OpenMP is managed by the non-profit technology consortium OpenMP Architecture Review Board (OpenMP ARB), which consists of major computer hardware and software vendors.The first OpenMP API specification was published in October 1997. The latest version (4.0) was released in July 2013.
