Access Control Issues

Access control is the scheme or mechanism used to control who is granted access to what within the environment as a whole. You should recall that there are three primary options for this:

  • Discretionary Access Control (DAC)
  • Mandatory Access Control (MAC)
  • Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
