- Controlling the temperature and humidity

- Minimizing vibrations
- Preventing food and drink from being consumed near sensitive equipment
- Avoiding strong magnetic fields
- Managing electromagnetic and radio frequency interference
- Conditioning the power supply
- Managing static electricity
