2.5. Explain the vulnerabilities and mitigations associated with network devices.

Network devices are hosts, routers, switches, firewalls, and anything else connected to a network with some sort of cable or wireless connection. Every device used on a network throughout an organization needs to be examined in light of its unique vulnerabilities. Each device needs to be hardened according to its issues and uses. The following sections discuss issues that are common on network devices.
