Networks are becoming ever more complex structures. Small home or SOHO networks might consist of a handful of computers, a central file and print server, a router or switch, and an Internet link. Enterprise networks can be comprised of tens or hundreds of thousands of computers and thousands of servers with a seemingly endless string of cables, routers, switches, and other network devices.
