Why Change Management?

Chapter 17 presented risk management as an essential decision-making process. In much the same way, change management is an essential practice for managing a system during its entire lifecycle, from development through deployment and operation, until it is taken out of service. To manage the system development and maintenance processes effectively, you need discipline and structure to help conserve resources and enhance effectiveness.
