Chapter 6 discussed the formation and classification of small-world wireless mesh networks (SWWMNs). This chapter discusses another type of multi-hop relaying network, small-world wireless sensor networks (SWWSNs), where complex network concepts can be very useful. Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) form one of the areas in computer networks where application of small-world network characteristics can benefit the performance.
