Alias The existence of two names in a data dictionary for the same item.
Allocated event-response model An event-response model showing the devices that will be used to implement the response.
Analysis model An abstracted representation of the system being studied. The model may include a set of data flow diagrams, event-response models, data models, data dictionary, and mini specifications.
Association The relationship between entities.
Asynchronous model A model in which the components act independently or in parallel. A data flow diagram is an asynchronous model, as it represents the system as a network of independent processes.
