About the Author

Jim Underwood, DBA, MBA, MA, is a professor of management at Dallas Baptist University and the author of numerous books, including More Than a Pink Cadillac (a New York Times bestseller published by McGraw-Hill) and Thriving in E-Chaos (winner of the International Competia Award and published by Prima Venture, a division of Prima Publishing).

His clients have included IBM, HP, Sprint, and McKesson, plus numerous other organizations. Jim served as the Global Strategy Content Expert for the Nortel Learning Institute and has supervised more than two hundred Fortune 500 MBA studies — all in addition to conducting his consulting and CEO-advisory work.

Jim has used his predictive modeling and intelligence work to accurately forecast the future performance of numerous companies, including those that eventually ended up in insolvency. He has completed a number of intelligence studies dealing with future technologies, such as broadband technology, small office home office (SOHO) technologies, and technology-related industry shifts.

He is currently the vice chairman of Far Corners Missions, which operates hospitals, clinics, and educational institutions in India for victims of poverty and human trafficking.

Jim and his wife Patsy live in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area.
