Capture and manage

Abstract

The next phases in the PCMAC process are to capture and manage the information we need to do reliable and qualitative analyses. An important step is to identify and evaluate the information sources we will use. Both primary and secondary sources should be considered, but the starting point is often secondary sources. Much of the information we need could already be available within the organisation and it is of great value to use the employee’s eyes, ears and brains – the triple E&B.

It is vital to have a critical approach to the sources and to the information found. Some criteria for the evaluation of sources are authority, objectivity and reliability.
