How to Clarify What Type of Telejob Your Company Needs

We believe that the starting point in initiatives to improve the effectiveness of employees in new or changed roles is the nature of the task(s) that they are asked to perform. To illustrate the importance of task clarity, we often encourage managers to apply a relatively simple test to their business situation. Figure 7-3 lists six questions that we find useful to describe the relative degree of clarity that may or may not exist in a company's telepositions.
